Brigham Young University Trademark Licensing

Welcome to Brigham Young University's official trademark licensing website. The goal of this website is to give information about our trademarks, answer your licensing questions, and help you find officially licensed merchandise.

Licensing is the granting of rights to a third party that desires to associate itself commercially (for profit and not for profit) with an institution through the use of trademarks, names, logos, symbols, and slogans.

BYU owns the trademarks and icons and has contracted with The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) to aid in protecting, managing, and developing BYU's brand.

A license must be obtained by anyone who wishes to use the names or icons of BYU. Licensing protects the institution's names, reputation, and image by permitting only appropriate uses and assuring that only quality products are associated with the institutions.
